Make Dumplings From Scratch: Taught by Diana Kuan via Zoom Online
Diana Kuan is the author of Red Hot Kitchen and The Chinese Takeout Cookbook.
Did you know you can easily make dumplings with what's in your kitchen right now?
In this 90 minute online dumpling-making class, you'll learn to make crispy and delicious potstickers. Using everyday kitchen ingredients, we'll make wrappers from scratch, then whip up a variety of fillings using both meat and vegetarian ingredients. You'll learn easy ways to fold your dumplings, and an almost fool-proof way of pan-frying your potstickers to perfection. We leave room at the end of the class for a Q&A to answer your questions. To follow along with the class, have on hand all-purpose flour, a rolling pin or empty wine bottle, high-heat cooking oil, and anything edible to stuff into a dumpling. A week after you register, we will send you a list of ingredients and equipment needed, as well as the Zoom link. Register in advance as attendance is limited.
This program is thanks to generous funding from the Friends of the C. H. Booth Library.
