American Flying Aces 1916-1970 via Zoom

American Flying Aces 1916-1970 via Zoom Online

An American Fighter Ace is a U.S. citizen who has served honorably as a fighter pilot in a U.S. military service, or in service of a nation not at war with the United States, who has destroyed five or more enemy aircraft in aerial combat.

1,440+ pilots have been recognized as 'Fighter Ace' in conflicts from WWI through Vietnam.  John Cilio shares stories and photographs of WWI Aces known as 'Knights of the Sky', who devised the concept of aerial combat, as well as Aces who flew in WWII, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam. This patriotic look at America's extraordinary pilot's focus, technique, and ultimate bravery in battle is an inspiration.
