Grateful Gatherings: Aging Gratefully In-Person
Gatherings include guided reflections, interactive discussions, and invitations to simple practices designed to inspire joy and a sense of appreciation.
This month's theme is Aging Gratefully!
Longevity is everywhere these days. We're surrounded by advice about how to live longer, look younger, stay healthier, and perhaps even slow the aging process itself. But perhaps the more important conversation isn't simply how long we live—it's how we choose to live as we grow older.
Join us as we explore aging through a different lens—one of possibility, perspective, gratitude, and appreciation for the life we're living right now.
Whatever your age, you have a seat in our circle. Grateful Gatherings offers a welcoming and comfortable space to listen, reflect, and share as much or as little as you choose. By bringing different generations together, we all have an opportunity to see aging—and living—through perspectives beyond our own, learning from where others have been and imagining what may lie ahead.
Come as you are. Bring your stories, your laughter, and your curiosity. We'll also share a simple activity that may have you seeing yourself—and one another—in a whole new light.
Please bring a favorite baby or young child photo of yourself. We’ll bring the ice cream!
Donna Vella is our Grateful Gatherings Host, as well as a positive psychology educator, Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide and a Newtown resident.
