SUMMARY:Famous Artist Self Portraits via Zoom
DESCRIPTION:Self portraits can be traced back to ancient times\, though
they became most prevalent in the early Renaissance period. Mallory
Mortillaro will explore several famous artists’ self portraits as we
learn\, and consider: What does an artist’s self portrait say about the
time they lived in\, the style they painted in\, and\, most importantly\,
how they viewed themselves? Mallory is an art historian and educator who
has worked on art research projects for museums in the NYC area.
